What are "AWANA Clubs"?

Awana Clubs Logo

"Awana" is an acrostic for the phrase "Approved workmen are not shamed"...a reference to 2 Timothy 2:15 which says: "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Awana is a Bible-based, Christ-centered program committed to ministering to children and teens. Through games, scripture memory, Bible lessons and other activities, the goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls for Christ and to train them to serve Him by hiding His word in their hearts.

There are clubs for those from two years old through High School.

The clubs are:

  • Puggles - Ages 2 and 3
  • Cubbies - Ages 4 and 5
  • Sparks - kindergarten to second grade
  • Truth and Training - third to sixth grade
  • Trek - middle and high school.

Please join us on Tuesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  If there are any questions, feel free to call or write the church office. We look forward to seeing you!

In addition, a Bible study class for adults is taught by Pastor John during the AWANA program. This class is for those who bring their children or those who want a chance to come and study the Word. Join us and make Tuesday night a Family event!

During periods of bad weather, the policy for AWANA Clubs is that if there has been no school on that Tuesday, then there will be no AWANA meeting.  If you are ever uncertain, you can check the inclement weather announcements box on the front page.

Just a thought...

Bottom PromotionWhat do you think about Jesus? We want to encourage you to think about Jesus. He loves you, and - though innocent - died in your place. The Bible says we have all done wrong and deserve death for rejecting God. Jesus took the death penalty for you and all you have to do is accept his payment and receive his forgiveness. We want to hear your thoughts!
